The city of Cumae was founded around 730 BC and is the oldest of all Greek colonies in Italy.
The Acropolis is located on a promontory from which you can see the islands of Procida and Ischia.
You will visit the mysterious Cumaean Sibyl’s Cave, one of the most famous oracles of antiquity.
A walk along the Sacred Way, an ancient Roman road, will then take you to the Byzantine Tower, a monumental gateway to the Acropolis, and the temples of Apollo and Jupiter.
A pleasant stop at the Belvedere terrace will allow you to enjoy the wonderful panorama that embraces the islands of Ischia and Procida, Lake Fusaro and the Miseno promontory.
