Sting in Naples

The famous artist Sting, keeping a promise made to the former parish priest of the Rione Sanità, Don Antonio Loffredo, came to Naples for a concert reserved for the inmates of the Secondigliano prison.

Sting played a guitar built for him by three inmates who had followed a luthier course in the Secondigliano prison.

The guitar was made of the wood of an old boat that had wrecked carrying migrants to the Italian coast.

The few people who attended the event,  such as  prisoners, the penitentiary police and prison operators, reported  that  it was an engaging  and moving concert.

Sting then stayed for a few days in Naples, enjoying the incredible party that the Neapolitans were still having for the victory of the Italian football championship  and  he had dinner with his wife Trudie Styler in the famous Neapolitan restaurant Mimì alla Ferrovia.

His wife Trudie posted  a short video of Sting playing in front of the wonderful panorama of Naples. https://youtu.be/ty3dfj-aaJU
