Pozzuoli and Sofia Loren

The famous actress Sofia Loren recently turned 90 and the community of Pozzuoli paid homage to her with a mural depicting her young and beautiful. The mural was created by the artist Leticia Mandragora and is located in front of the house in Pozzuoli where Sofia Loren lived until she was about 15 years old.

Pozzuoli is a city rich in history and archaeological remains located in the Phlegraean Fields near Baia, a place famous throughout the world for its extraordinary submerged city, and the charming towns of Bacoli and Monte di Procida. Near the mural is the Flavian amphitheater, which in order of size comes immediately after the Colosseum in Rome and the amphitheater of Capua in Campania.

A place of great charm is the Rione Terra of Pozzuoli, an archaeological area located on a promontory overlooking the sea and which was the center of the ancient Roman colony of Puteoli. If you want to visit the Phlegraean Fields with its wonders, take a tour of Pozzuoli, taste the typical dishes of the renowned Neapolitan cuisine and the wines of the Phlegraean territory, contact me, tell me what you would like to see and what activities you would like to do and together we will organize unforgettable experiences for you, your friends or your family.
